On a planet orbiting a red dwarf star, dusk doesn't look like anything you've seen here. The star is cooler, dimmer, redder and as it sinks below the horizon, the sky doesn't turn orange. It turns violet. Deep, saturated, electric violet the star's cooler spectrum pushing light toward the violet end of the visible range, while the horizon burns with the last of its infrared warmth. Astronomical dusk on a far-off world lasts longer than ours. The geometry is different. The star moves slower. The colors hold.

Deep anodized purple at the crown the color of a star too cool to burn white, too beautiful to look away from. Bleeding into fluorescent pink at the base, the way distant light does when it has nowhere left to go.
