Atomic Faceplates- Rubellite Faceplate
A Mineral That Generates Its Own Energy.
Rubellite is a rare variety of tourmaline — one of the most electrically complex minerals on Earth. Unlike most gemstones, tourmaline is piezoelectric: it generates an electric charge when placed under mechanical pressure. It is also pyroelectric, producing charge in response to changes in temperature. Rubellite does both.
What separates rubellite is color stability. Most tourmaline shifts under different light sources. Rubellite holds — the same deep, saturated berry-red whether you're under sunlight, fluorescent light, or candlelight. That consistency is rare enough to have its own name.
The Rubellite faceplate takes its name and its color from that mineral. Finished in a deep berry-red that carries the same refusal to shift, fade, or go unnoticed.
